The cinder track route

marine driveStart your bike ride from the old Toll House, to make your way to the North Bay. This spectacular ride takes you around the prominent castle headland and cliff side. Take in striking sounds, stunning sea views and fresh sea air. On your ride, signboards will give you interesting facts including the history of the drive, which also forms part of the England Coastal path and the Cleveland Way National Trail.

open air theatreRide around the historic Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre, it was built in the 1930’s, and is the largest in Europe. The theatre underwent a major refurbishment and on 20 May 2010. Since its official re-opening, the has played host to some of the music industry’s biggest stars, including: Elton John, Britney Spears, Gary Barlow, Noel Gallagher, Lionel Richie, Biffy Clyro, Little Mix, Lewis Capaldi and many more.

Located in South Cliff he gardens are grade II listed on the English Heritages Register of Historic Houses and Gardens and boast a number of notable features including an ornate lily pond complete with a statue of Mercury making a striking focal point at the heart of the gardens. Larpool viaductTake a bike ride to visit the Larpool Viaduct, near Whitby the impressive 13 arch structure was built in 1882. It's a worthy bike ride, with beautiful views of Whitby from the top of the viaduct. After crossing the viaduct you can follow the Cinder Track to Stainsacre, where you can stop for refreshments at the cafe before turning around.
